DubLi Network: Marketing I

DubLi Network Opportunity: Marketing Basics I by Dublicator

Vouliagmeni, October 11, 2008 - The series of Articles entitled Marketing DubLi will step-by-step develop different Marketing Strategies for Independent DubLi Business Associates and Partners of the the Dublicator Team of Independent DubLi Network Business Opportunity Associates. Marketing Basics I will deal in simple terms with prerequisites, such as your personal Business Environment, Branding and some basic choices.
Your Home Business Environment

When becoming an Associate of the DubLi Network Opportunity, you acquire the right to promote and to market DubLi Products and Opportunities at your risk and for the benefit of DubLi (and you as the case may be) according to some strict rules defined in the Terms and Conditions. In fact: it's like in any affiliate or referral business: DubLi is not YOUR business, but you have decided to acquire the rights to market and to promote DubLi products and opportunities.

Legally speaking this creates some clear limits: You are not allowed behave as if DubLi was your Brand or your Business and you cannot make statements in the name of DubLi nor lead people to believe that you are making statements in the name of DubLi.

DubLi Brand

You are not allowed to use the name of DubLi in your domain name. For example, a name such as dublibusiness.com would be against the rule. Exceptions may be approved by DubLi. Usually and it's widely accepted, this rule applies to sub-domains as well and extends to the second forward-slash in the URL.

For example: Mydomain.com/dubli is in breach with the rule, while mydomain.com/go/dubli is compliant.

In reality, such rules are hardly effective for the simple reason that they often can only be imposed on dependent parties (Business Associates for example) but not on outsiders who get away with … almost murder when it comes to online branding issues. Looking at DubLi references on Google, you may note that most top ranked entries are in violation with the terms of DubLi, however there seems to be a tolerance by Dubli about the issue. May be just because it's better to get buzz on Google in spite copyright infringements rather than no buzz at all, at least for the time being. Dublicator has never been a problem and is accepted by DubLi since 2006.

How to Brand your Business and How to Brand your DubLi Business

First of all, think about your Business; what is your business anyway? You are well advised to start a formal Home Business, namely when you are in the USA. You can incorporate such a Business as an LLC for example or use the most advantageous formula, which is by simple declaration. Having set up your Home Business you profit immediately from Home Business Tax Benefits as described in the excellent book Home Business Tax Benefits by Larrie Perkins, the Home Business Tax Expert with an over 20 year long record of Successful Tax Consulting(Larrie Perkins, Florence, Alabama, USA).

So, you have decided to start your Home Business: let's give the baby a name! Do some brainstorming and build a shortlist of names, making sure that the corresponding TLD's are available (TLD: Top Level Domain, such as .com, .net, .org…). Then expand the brainstorming to family and friends to come back with a name you really like, a name you can stand behind and you like to promote in the future, whatever you do online.

Some examples: your home business may well carry your name, such as Yorgo Nestoridis with the domain yorgonestoridis.com. Or it could be yorgobiz, using the domain yorgobiz.com. Frankly, I was not very inspired when I decided one day to just ad an 'o' to my first name to create YORGOO.com, but it worked out well :-).

You can also create something more generic, even a word that does not exist, such as Semiomantics for Semantic Web Publishing Frameworks, or Dublicator, which is based on the idea of Duplication in any Network environment. The choice is yours and whatever you chose: keep the name short, easy to spell and to remember, and make it a name that does not hurt people's feeling in any way or language.

I recommend for your Domain Hosting our in-house domain host at yorgodom.

If you would like to discuss your choice before buying a domain, please feel free to contact me through http://yorgohelp.com our global support desk and one of our domain specialists or I will be in touch with you. There is no hurry to register a domain; take time to make sure you like the name you choose.

Why do I need a Domain

The domain is for branding purposes as well as for publishing and linking purposes. The domain is like a piece of real estate you buy and you develop. In fact, your whole online activity consists in developing that piece of real estate! To develop the value of your online business business you need to focus on 3 basic assets which will define the value of your business: the traffic, the prospect- and customer lists, the cash flow. There is a fourth element and that is your Authority, Credibility and Good-will which is somehow linked to the 3 afore-said.

Do I really need a domain?

There are some Marketers and so called Gurus who claim that you don't need a domain, nor a list of prospects, nor any credibility. Sorry to say folks, but I have never met anyone online who has built sustained cashflow without a domain. If you don't opt for a domain, you will only promote and build the business of other people, by sending traffic to other people's websites through your affiliate- or referral link. In such a case and by following such smart Guru Advise, you fail to build YOUR business and you should assimilate yourself to an employee of that Merchant or Vendor you promote… the problem is: he does not want to give you the security of a job, he just wants to get your work, traffic and contacts and if ever you trigger a deal you get a commission on the bases of a commission scheeme for successful closing of deals.

So, be aware of people who tell you: jut promote your affiliate link! Generate your traffic on your Domain, so you can always redirect it to the target of your choice. And by building constantly increasing traffic (with YORGOO for example) you remain the master of one of your most important assets ever!

The domain will also help you to redirect to Merchants' sites, by hiding the real affiliate link. This protects you from abuse and link theft an it protects the Merchant from Spam Claims. In emails, never use the merchants affiliate or referral link, and most online merchants prohibit the use of such links in your mails - right they are! For example, instead of http://dublinetwork.com/3613 you can create http://dublicator.com/business and redirect or frame your DubLi Network affiliate link from your own domain.

Don't use free redirects such as tinyurl and similar as they are often black-listed. You must be in control of your Brand name and your Traffic! You can redirect from YOUR domain at no additional cost using yorgodom's domain hosting and it's unlimited sub-domains and redirects or frames.

Make Money with DubLi

Ycademy Online Networking Seminar: Make Money with DubLi

Also: Imagine your business card with an affiliate link… how ugly, how dangerous for you and how useless! If you write http://dubli.com/3613 on your business card, people will simply type dubli.com into the browser and you have had it. If you print on the card: yourbiz.com and frame your DubLi link, you are protected and you are promoting YOUR Brand and Business while still sending prospects to your DubLi site. Mind you, the DubLi links are not too ugly, but imagine : http://yorgoo.com/cgi-bin/ref.cgi/1/

The answer is: if you are a serious marketer, yes you need a domain for the above reason and for one more reason: you will need a website because times are over when you just could arbitrate between Google AdWords and AdSense or when you just could buy Google AdWords and send people to your referral link and count on sustainable business development. In fact, most Google AdWords Clients have their own authority and or Content site and the others just pray for striking a deal.

Now you have Branded your Business, let's move to the next step:

What is your Home Business?

Your home Business is a legal entity that aims to make profit. It's your home Business, your Baby! It's YOURS.

If you decide to acquire a license, franchise or similar to become a representative or franchisee, then it's your business decision to promote and market the products of a third party's brand and or company. DubLi is such a third party brand and business opportunity, which you have decided to join. There could be multiple other business opportunities you promote, like a product representative who may represent vitamins from one company and cosmetics from another. You could promote DubLi and at the same time be an independent Distributor of Vitamins. For as long as you don't promote a DubLi-competitor's product DubLi does not mind. Check the terms and Conditions of both opportunities as the case may be, to make sure you are in compliance with the terms of both.

DubLi is an MLM and Networking Business: That does NOT mean that your Home Business is an MLM and Networking business; in fact it is not!

What I want to get at here is: you must at any time between YOUR Business and DubLi's Business.

To integrate the DubLi Income Stream to your Home Business, you may create either a sub-domain to your business domain and call it for example: funshopping.mybusiness.com or business.mybusiness.com and frame as per above or you could create a new domain and brand for your DubLi involvement. This domain would be used only for your DubLi involvement and it brands one income stream of your business. For example dublicator.com.

If you understand the strict separation between your business and DubLi's Business you are a step ahead of 99% of all affiliate networkers out there and you wont make one of the most common errors in online marketing.

Also you will understand the Asset concept described above and you will understand that your home business is an entity that will grow in value whether you succeed with DubLi or not and it will be able to grow whether you stick with DubLi or not. Your Home Business has it's own balance sheet and tax environment; DubLi impacts only in as much as you make payments to DubLi and in as much as you receive payments from DubLi plus eventually DubLi related business expenses. That's it.

May be you should re-read this last paragraph about What is Your Home Business: make sure you get this right and stop working for other people by getting in control of YOUR Business and Assets!

Home Business Basic Choices

You have probably taken some basic decisions before selecting a Business Opportunity to sign up with. One of those basic decision is the choice of your working environment. If you live out in the sticks, at the edge of creation, somewhere completely lost, then you have only one choice: work online.

If you live in an environment where you meet a lot of people, you may also decide to work offline and use the internet merely as a support for your offline business.

You want to work online and off-line? My experience shows, that you need to set a clear priority: as soon as you work online in a Networking environment, your team mates expect you to be available online and they expect fast responses 24/24. I have decided once and for all to work exclusively online and since 2002 I have never ever attended any off-line meetings, gatherings or similar.

This choice is an important one, because it will impact on the choice you make when deciding about which Business Opportunity you want to join.

If you want to work off-line and if you like off-line meetings and sales promotion, then choose an opportunity which has been designed for an off-line target.

If you want to work essentially online and if you don't just want to work FROM home but you want to work AT home, then look for a Business Opportunity which is clearly targeting online Business and Customers.

The DubLi Network Opportunity is clearly an Online Business Opportunity and you must target prospects who are online; no point to promote DubLi to people who are chilled when asked to buy or promote online. You don't want to target either computer newbies unless your primary goal is to teach people how to write a mail and how to copy and paste.

I will develop the Targeting process in the chapter : How to Target for DubLi Networking.

Conclusion

DubLi r5elated Home Business is a clearly structured concept. Your Pitch goes somewhat like this:

"My name is Yorgo ……………. I have started my Home Business Cashflowin in 2002 ….. in 2006 I have decided to promote and to market the Products and the Business Opportunity from a company called DubLi GmbH/LLC by buying a license as an Independent DubLi Network Business Associate, three months later I had advanced to the internal network position of Sales Director and I had made $15 342.00 just from the DubLi income Stream of my Home Business…"

This may sound like the typical MLM hype, however: it's the truth. The credibility of the statement is underlined by your image as a serious and customer oriented Home Business Builder and Networker; that Authority you need to build over time. I am not claiming that everybody's result is similar to mine, they should be better :-). But I claim that by working the Dublicator System Seriously and by following the relevant trainings and Seminars, you will be well armed to attack the market with a great product and the most professional infrastructure and know-how on your side. Just focus on what YOUR tasks are and let DubLi do their job.

Finally, from what you have understood above, it's clear that you build YOUR network before building the network of any third party opportunity. Your network is an important asset of YOUR business, that's your list of prospects and customers and friends. Not all of them will want to follow you into DubLi; but having control over your network, you can always suggest another opportunity or product to YOUR network, which you will not be able to do if you have just sent everyone you know to a third party site without fetching their coordinates first.
